Latex (also known as Rubber) is a natural material and needs to be treated properly. It will naturally degrade over time but with proper care it can look great for years!
Cleaning

Hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Do not dry clean.

Wash after every wear.

Wash your latex gear in lukewarm water with a small amount of mild soap detergent (dish soap is ideal). Swish the latex around in the water to clean off any oils and sweat. Wash inside and out.

Rinse thoroughly with cold water, making sure all traces of soap are washed off.

Hang the latex to drip dry naturally on a non-metallic hanger. Keep away from radiators and heat sources.

Once dry, sprinkle a small amount of talcum powder on the inside and outside of the garment, making sure it is covered evenly and not sticking anywhere.
Storage

Store in a plastic or cotton bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat.
Putting latex on

Take your time! Be careful with fingernails or sharp jewellery.

Silicone lube or talc on the inside can help get it on.

Get a friend to help!
Latex Shine

Shine your latex with a small amount of silicone lube or a shining agent like Vivishine.

Use your hands to shine the latex or a lint free cloth.
Avoid

Stay clear of sharp objects as they can rip the latex. Small rips/tears can be mended.

Prolonged exposure to sunlight.

Contact with metals- this will stain lighter colour latex very quickly.

Stay away from oils, lotions and perfumes as these can degrade the latex. Definitely don’t cover yourself in baby oil and then put on your latex top!
